The bottom line is this: This is a privately owned site. I am a Childless Stepmom (CSM) just like you. The site was created to be helpful to other CSMs. Some of the CSMs became my trusted friends and they volunteer to be moderators of this community. Please treat them with respect. There is a 'flavor' on this site of acceptance, kindness, diversity and polite frankness. Childless Stepmoms reserves the right to delete, close, change or otherwise administer posts on this community forum in any way we want, solely at our discretion, in order to maintain the atmosphere of safety that we desire this community to have. If you have a personal agenda such as promoting or selling your book, your website or anything else, please go somewhere else. We do not allow it in this community. If you are not a CSM, you are in the wrong place. Now for the official jargon:
The Childless Stepmoms terms of service posted on the main site apply to the entire website including this forum board. Please take a moment to review these rules detailed below. They contain additional rules for the forums.
YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO REGISTER ON THIS SITE.
YOU CERTIFY THAT YOU ARE A CHILDLESS WOMAN WHO HAS NO BIOLOGICAL OR ADOPTED CHILDREN OF HER OWN. The only exception to this is the verified academic researchers mentioned below.
Childless Stepmoms exists in part to promote further understanding of stepfamilies and specifically Childless Stepmoms. This means that we open the boards to VERIFIED ACADEMIC researchers only when they are bound to protect the anonymity of the users and meet other requirements designed to protect your identity and the integrity of the boards. If you would like a copy of the guidelines researchers must adhere to, then please email Christina@childlessstepmoms.org and place the heading REQUEST FOR RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS in the subject line.

Childless Stepmoms does not endorse, nor are we liable for, any advice given on these boards by anyone including those claiming to be a professional in any particular field or subject matter. This applies to posts, messages, email or any other contact from any Childless Stepmom. We do not verify the identity, education, licensing or other credentials of any member or moderator unless specifically stated. We are a peer-to-peer support group and do not encourage anyone here to speak in a professional capacity. Please remember that anyone can say they are anyone or that they do anything on the internet. If we do list someone's credentials in an official way we will also state their full name and where their credentials can be verified.
